Dorset beat Cheshire by 77 runs in a quarter-final badly hit by the weather.
At one point it was thought possible that the two teams would be faced with a bowl-out to decide who went through to the semi-final stage of the Knockout Trophy competition.
In the end, limited overs were played and the score ended: Dorset CCC 179 for 9 (35 overs) – Cheshire CCC 102 all out (30.3 overs)
Cheshire never really looked like coming near to the required target. Danny Berry was caught with the score only on two and the captain followed soon after, leaving Cheshire on 17 for two.
