The Ellesmere Port Development Board is looking to recruit a new member, ideally with experience and knowledge of small and medium sized enterprises.
The board is a private sector-led group of stakeholders that represent the town’s diverse economy, with objectives to attract and encourage investment and create local employment.
Members consider a broad range of cross-cutting themes including tourism, retail, leisure, commerce, education, town planning and housing.
Board Chairman Robert Mee said: “We are looking for an exceptional individual who shares our passion for Ellesmere Port and wants to be involved in helping to build the town’s growing reputation as a place for business and investment.
“Having recently secured £6m from the Government’s Regional Growth Fund, projects are now coming forward that will help create over 3,000 jobs by supporting the growth of existing business and attracting major new investments.”
The job is a voluntary role. Meetings are held bi-monthly, on Friday mornings at varying locations in Ellesmere Port.
All applications should be submitted by email to ellesmereportsp@cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk by May 16.
