Youngsters from Frodsham Juniors Football Club have helped raised thousands of pounds for a local charity after taking part in North West Cancer
Research’s Canter for Cancer fun-run last weekend.
Several of the players and their parents took on the 5k challenge at Aintree Racecourse to raise money for cancer research.
The players even got to meet Liverpool Legend Alan Kennedy who also took part.
One young player Jake Murphy chose to run after being inspired by his mum’s fight against breast cancer and he alone raised £400.
