Widnes Vikings have given two fans lifetime bans that will prevent them from attending any Widnes Vikings fixture at The Select Security Stadium.
These bans have been issued as a result of the individuals engaging in unacceptable behaviour at the Widnes Vikings’ away game at Hull FC on Friday 2nd August 2013.
Vikings CEO James Rule commented: “After a thorough investigation involving dialogue with Halton Borough Council, officials at the KC Stadium, and the Police, we have actioned these banning orders.
“As I have repeated on numerous occasions in recent weeks, the vast majority of our fans are a credit to the Club and support us passionately both home and away. However, a small minority have brought the Club into disrepute. We will not stand by and let this minority damage the good name and reputation of the Widnes Vikings. I hope these banning orders serve to discourage anybody from engaging in anti-social behaviour at a Widnes Vikings fixture, whether at home or away.
“Our investigations into the incidents at Warrington continue and I am very grateful for the extensive feedback and information that we have received from our fans. I can confirm that based on the information we have received, further banning orders will be issued in due course.”
